POISON FROM RING PRICK.
. GIRL'S STRANGE EXPERIENCE. The police are searching for a man who is alleged to have poisoned a girl|in London in extraordinary circumstances. The girl, a typiste, employed in a Fleet Streeo office, states that as she was walking up Bouverie Street a welldressed man overtook her and grasped her wrist, immediately she ifelt a prickling sensation. . , Directly she reached her employer's office she fainted. Four other fainting fit* followed. When she recovered she showed a punctured wound in her wrist. The police were informed and the following description of the wanted mani was circulated:—"Age 35 to 40, height sft Bin or 9in, hair and moustache ■dark, clean-cut features and of slender build; dressed in black, silk hat, and grey trousers." In various part* of America similar assaults are a device of persons connected with the white slave traffic. When the victim faints in the street, the assailant, who then poses as a relativa or friend, calls a cab and drives oft with the girl. The poison is injected into the wrist by pressure- from a finger ring. ■ ,
