TEMPTED DEATH.

j ♦ ONCE TOO OFTEN. PER UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION. Received January 26, 1.20 p.m. LONDON, Jan. 25. Mr Lee Temple, the aviator, was killed at Hendon after an exhibition of spiralling, descending almost perpendicularly. He got too low to right himself, and a gust of wind overturned and dashed the monoplane to the ground. Temple's neck was broken.

| Temple was only 21 years of age. On November 22 last he ascended to a distance of 5000 ft in a monoplane at Hendon. Then he dived 1000 ft and was then for six seconds on his back. He' lost control of the monoplane for a few seconds and was in extreme danger until he was able to complete the dive.
