MICROBES IN PARLIAMENT.
As a result, of the sudden death of a member of tho French Chamber of Deputies, who was taken il! during a reoent sitting, investigations have been made of the sanitary conditions of the "House." During a morning sitting when there were only 30 legislators present an analysis showed that there wero 22.(KM) microbes to the cubic yard. There is accommodation for fewer than 300 demities, but during an important debate there are sometimes 600 present. On occasions the microbes increase to 75,000 to tho cubic yard.
