* Tho enormous speed of two miles a minute was attained by Lord Shrewsbury's Talbot car at the ttrooklamls motor track. Major Lindsay Lloyd, the racing manager, timed the Talbot in tho straight on the railway side, and found that it covered that stretch, at 120 miles on hour;
