VERDICT FOR DEFENDANT.
TEH CNITKD PBES3 ASSOCIATION. NAPIER. March 17. Tho trial of tho second action, in which F. E. A. Gordon sought to recover £2OOO damages against tho 'New Zealand Times' Company for alleged defamatory statements published by tho company of and concerning tho Gordon system of testing poultry for their ogglaying capacity, was heard at the Supremo Court io-dav before the Chief Justice and a special jury. It resulted in verdict for defendant.
