FRENCH MOTOR BANDITS.

HOW THEY MET DEATH. EXTRAORDINARY SCENES. BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH.—COPYRIGHT. PER UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION. Received May 16, 9.40 a.m. PARIS, May 15. There were extraordinary scenes at Nogent sur Marne, where the motor bandits were besieged. The town was lit up with torches, and a huge crowd arrived in motors, trains and trams shouting "Death!" Some who were armed were with difficulty restrained from indiscriminately shooting. The crowd attempted to lynch the bandits, supposing them to be alive. M. Lepine (Chief of Police) was accorded an ovation. Gamier's body was riddled with bullets. The woman Vuilloinin (who surrendered) states that Gamier threatened to kill her. She. added that the bandits did not take precautions but mixed freely with their neighbors. They made several visits to Paris to purchase weapons and prepared for a week's defence. They had 2000 cartridges.
