WEDDING AT GORE.
WRIGHT— CONGREVE. A pretty wedding took place at the Gore Methodist Church on the 27th inst., when Mr Joseph H. Wright', eldest son of Mr Jos. Wright, "Winterbourne," Croydon Siding, was married to Miss Olive A. Congreve, eldest daughter of the late Mr James Congreve, Lumsdcn. The bride, who was given away by her eldest brother, Mr John Congreve, was tastefully attired in. a dress of cream Venetian cloth with tunic skirt trimmed with braid and lace. She also wore the orthodox wreath and veil and carried a beautiful shower bouquet. The bridesmaids, Miss Winnie Wright and Miss May Congreve, wore white dresses of silk and silkette respectively, with picture hats. They also wore dainty gold brooches, the gift of the bridegroom, and carried shower bouquets. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a gold brooch set with rubies and diamonds, and the bride's present to the bridegroom was a set of greenstone and gold sleeve-links. Mr James Congreve, brother of the bride, acted as best man. Rev. M. A. Rugby Pratt officiated. After the ceremony the guests adjourned to Mr Paterson's tea-rooms, where breakfast, was partaken of. Rev. M. A. Rugby Pratt occupied the chair and a short toast-list was honored. Mr and Mrs Wright left bv the first express en route to Riverton, where the honeymoon is being spent. The bride's travelling-dress was a handsome brown cloth costume, white crinoline hat trimmed with lace and roses.
