VOTES FOR WOMEN!

Mr Asquith (Prime Minister), in the course of a reply to a National Suffrage League deputation, said that if a referendum of men alone were taken women would resent the verdict. Personally he was convinced that the franchise for women would be a mistake of a very disastrous kind. He felt that it was time that those holding strong views on the question should take off their coats and put the case against women's suffrage cogently before the public.
