TARIFF REFORM MUST COME.

THE COMMERCIAL VIEW. Received March 18, 8.5 a.m. I.ON DON .March 17. At the jubilee meeting of the Associated Chamliers of Commerce tho question of tariff reform was discussed. Kilty-one chambers voted for it and twelve were either against it or were neutral. The Tariff Reform League is working itronuously in order to "educate" the inblic, and the extent of its o]ierations s indicated by a return showing the ■lumber of leaflets, pamiihlets and other indications issued bv the league durng the past three yrars. In 1906 the league distributed 1,603,000 leaflets and lesters, 00,000 copies of its "monthly Kites," giving details of the progress il the campaign, and facts and figures ikely to be of use to .supporters of aiilf reform. In 1908 the league had •xtended its operations enormously. It listributed 6,034,000 leaflets and post■rs, I 'JO,OOO copies of the "monthly lotes," 38,500 copies of "notes for sneakers," and 7210 stereotype blocks .'or the production of cartoons and Misters in newspapers.
