THE FRENCH POSTAL STRIKE
A NEW COMPLEXION. Received July 26, 9.15 a.m. PARIS, July 25. M. Briand (the new Premier) has ordered the Under-Secretaryship of the Post Office, held by M. Simyans (who canio into prominence in connection with the late postal troubles with the revolutionary Socialists who ordered the cutting of tlio telegraph wires), to cease until lie (M. Briand) has presented a demand for an amnesty to the 800 postmen dismissed in tlio recent strike. In connection with tlio general strike 'if French postal, telegraph, aud telephone employees in March as a protest Against alleged oppressive and tyrannical regulations, the strikers cut tho telograph wires connecting Paris with the provinces.
