The Commission which was set up to investigate several important (jiiestions relating lo the drainage of Onin, and Manawatn livers has made its report. Four schemes were considered by tie* Commission, which recommends the cutting of a new channel for ik: Manawatn river, starting at: Fisliennen's Point, then cutting an almost straight, line lor I'oxlon through the llats lo Hie bed of the river which it will cross, and tlen cutting through the. point at Malakarapa.
