The umiuul demonstration ol' the United Fire lirigades' Association was concluded yesterday in dujl weather, in the presence, of between HOOD and 4000 spectators. As on the previous days, events were run off promptly, with the result that the demonstration wag finished in good time. The final points for the shields place Timaru the winners of the champion shield, JMasterton winners of the high pressure shield, and Napier winners of . the , Speight's shield ti'or manual events). The concluding day's competitions resulted as follow*: One Man Ladder—Masterton I, after a dead boat with Auckland City; Duncdin City 3 and Ashburton •I, after a dead heat between tlix teams for third place. 'liescue Events (two men).—Napier, 23 4-oseu, 1; Auckland City, 25 1-5 sec, 2, after a dead bent with Dunedin City; Unehuugii, 2<i l-5 seCi j after a dead heat with W'aihi. Alarm and Disabled lloeo (5 men). —Timaru, 58 2-sscc, 1; Dannevirke, 50 2-ssec. 2; Duneilin City, GOsee, 3; Napier. 60 3-ssec, -1, after a dead bent with Spit. An old fireman's 2 men coupling event was placed on the programme, and was won by Koberls and MacDermott, 20 4-osec; with Mouldeu and I'entou, 33 l-ssec, 2; lieveridgo and Lepinc, 31sec, 3.
