RIFLE SHOOTING.
GORE RIFLES v. MATAURA RIFLE CLUB. The Gore Rifles fired their return match against a team from the Mataura Rifle Club yesterday forenoon on the local range. The visiting team had to average two men, being that number short. Tbe weather was fine, but the wind was very tricky, and as a conse-quence-the shooting was very much below the average. The conditions were seven shots and two sighters at each range. At the conclusion of the, match oheers were interchanged, and tbe hope generally expressed that the teams would meet again soon.
