DUNEDIN PRODUCE MARKET.
Messrs Donald Reid and Co. report that prices ruled as under at their auction sale yesterday : — Oats — Good to best feed were cattalogued and under moderate competition sold at prices on a par with late quotations. We quote : Prime milling, Is Cd to Is 7d ; good to best feed Is 4d to Is 5.M ; medium, Is 3d to Is 4d per bushel (sacks extra). Wheat — We offered a few lots of fowl wheat for which there is good demand, and sold best, 2s to 2s 2d ; broken and damaged, Is lOd to Is lid per bushel (sacks in). Potatoes— We submitted several lots of good Derwents, but as competition was weak and not up to our valuations, they were passed in. Consignments are not too heavy now, and growers, particularly from the north, show little disposition to sell at ruling prices, We quote : Best Derwents, £1 17s Gd to £2 ; others, £1 12s Gd to £1 15s per ton (sacks in). ChalT — Our catalogue was composed of about 30 tons really good oaten sheaf, which all sold at £2 12s Gd. Wo quote: Extra heavy to £2 15s ; .good to best, £2 10s to £2 12s Gd ; medium to good, £2 to £2 7s Gd per ton (bags extra). Turnips — Wo sold Swedes at 12s Gd per ton (loose).
