The Mataura Amateur Dramatic Society are evidently imbued with the laudable desire to give the public full value for their money. It is their intention to stage " British Born," or " Under the British Flag," early in December. This popular and sensational drama has not been performed by any society outside of the principal towns, and it should draw a crowded house in Mataura. Mrs Blue, Invercargill's" favorite soprano, will be amongst the performers, and several Gore ladies and gentlemen are also assisting. A dance will bo held after the concert.
