Messrs Donald Reid and Co. report as follows under date April 19 : — Oats— All offered mot with ready salo at an advance of Id per bushel on last week's prices. Prime milling and seed sorts, la Sd to la B£d ; good feed, Is 7d to Is 7Jd ; medium, Is 6d to Is 6Jd per bushel (sacks extra). Wheat — The few lots sold tc-day show late values to bo well maintained. Barley— No prime malting offered ; modium, 2j 8d to 3a Id ; feed and milling, 2s 3i to 2i 7d per bushel (sacks extra). Potatoes— Supplies of late have been more moderate, and demand fairly good. Beat Derwents. L 2 12s 6d to L2 l7s 6d ; medium, L2 5s to L2lo* ; best kidoojs, L 2 15a to 1/2 17s 6d per ton (sacks in). Chaff — Considering supplies "forward, values wore well maintained. No extra prime offered ; good oaten sheaf. L 2 10a to L2 l2a Gi ; medium, L27a6d to L 2 10j per ton (bags extra).
The Mutual Agency Co., of N.Z, Ltd., report prices as under at their weekly auction sale on April 20 : — Oats — Markot animated to-day, and under keen competition we offered our catalogue at an advance of Id to lji on last week's prices. ! Sutherlands (fair), Is 8d (ex truck) to Is B.fd. , Prime are worth more. Sparrowbills (good), ' Is 61d to Is 7td (ex truck) : medium feed. Is ' 6}d to Is 6M. : Wheat — There was better bidding to-day, and conaidoriog the quality of the wheat offered wa must report market distinctly ' firmer. Velvet (fair), 3s 7d to 3a 7sd ; tuscan ] (prime), 3s s£d to 3a 6d ; medium and fowls' ; wheat, 3j to Si ljd. , Barley— Medium, 2s 7d ; inferior, 2j to 2a 4Jd. ' Potatoes — L2 l7s 6d ; market bare. !
