On Friday afternoon Mr McNab, M.H.R,, commenoed his preeessional tour of inspection round the Mataura electorate. He went to Woodlands at 2.30 in the afternoon, and visited Mr Hiddlestone's school. At 8 p.m. he met several residents at Rimu. He touched upon the work before the coming session of Parliament— the Local Government Bill, Road Boards, and tho handing of Charitable Aid institutions over to counties and borough 1 ?. Mr McNab promised to inquire on his return to Invercargill into the reaoon why the purveyed settlement behind ilimu was not placed upon tho D-.arkef. Do was accorded a vote of thanka.
