Reuter’s Telegrams.] AUSTRALIAN ELEVEN V. GENTLEMEN OF ENGLAND. London, June 17. The cricket match, Australians versus Gentlemen of England, was commenced at Kensington Oval today. The weather was cold and inclement, and the attendance good. The following are the names of the Gentlemen players : —Hon. M. B. Hawke, G. M. Kemp, C. Toppcn, J. A. Turner, W. G. Grace, 0 E. Horner, F. M. Lucas, W. H. Patterson, W. W. Read, W. E. Roller, A. F. Kemp. The Home team went in first and remained at the wickets all day, nearly all making double figures. Grace played a splendid innings for 118, during which he only gave one chance. When the stumps were drawn at the conclusion of the day’s play the Gentlemen had scored 350, with the loss of only five wickets. The following are the detailed srorea:—
