SPRING CREEK LICENSING MEETING.
The adjourned meeting of the Licensing Committee for the above district took place yesterday. Present —Messrs N. Pritchard (chairman), 11. Matthews, J. Gane, and J. H. Iledwood. The renewal of the publican’s license for the Grove Town Hotel gave rise to considerable discussion, the license being objected to by the police, but it was granted until 10 p.m. on condition that the house he thoroughly repaired before next licensing meeting. The midnight license applied for was refused. The application of \\ r m.
Robinson of the same hotel for a transfer to Jane Palmer was granted. Tho meeting then adjourned.
