HARVEST FESTIVAL
TE POI SERVICE On Sunday afternoon the St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Choir went to Te Poi to join with residents in a harvest festival service. There : Was a pretty display of produce and flowers. In his address the Rev. J. H. Combes spoke of the forces at work in present-day civilisation. Everything was from cause to effect. Nothing happened by chance. World events were the result of the underlying machinery, cog within wheel, which was part of the price of human development. With God alone could civilisation really progress in a right direction. The choir sang “ Consider the 1 Lilies ” and I‘o Lord How Mangold” under the .conductorship of Mr. Combes.
