Women’s Institutes.
TE POI The December meeting of the Te Poi Women’s Institute took the form of a garden party in the grounds of Mrs. J. G. Goodwin’s home and proved to be a delightful and muchappreciated change from the usual type of meetings. Games and competitions were enjoyed on the lawn, and the winners were: Clock golf, Mrs. J. E. .Davidson; “ Jimmy Richardson,” Miss M. St, Clair. The monthly competition was for the best apple shortcake and the placings were: Mrs. Dalton 1, Mrs. Wise, senr., 2. Mrs. Goodwin, who had presided in the absence of Mrs. Dearlove, was accorded a: hearty vote of thanks. Hostesses for the day were Mesdames Dalton, Robinson and Miss Hirst.
