30 MILES AN r HOUR - j -■ \ Vj .. ■, ■ To Be Adhered To ing a maximum s£eed of 30 miles an hour be erected on the highways leading into the borough of Mbifrinsvillo ? • This question was considered by the Morrinsville Borough Council, which decided that the restriction should apply at...the -borough boundary in all jcases and not some distance Inside the borough in the case of Studholme street north. 'Recently officials of the Transport Department and of the Automobile Association visited Morrinsville and made a recommendation that the 30 mile restriction migflit commence at the Snell street corner of Studholme street, which is half-a-mile inside the northern boundary of the borough. There - was also a suggestion that the 30-mile limit in Hamilton road should begin at the approach to the saleyards, which is some hundreds of yards inside the borough; and that it begin at the Strathmore street corner on Thames street east. Before the council was a letter from j the Transport‘ Department advising' that it was prepared to recommend to the Minister that the 30-mile limit commence at Snell street corner and not at the borough boundary;;;. Morrice agreed, mentioning the danger of fast traffic to the many children going to and from school. ' , “It is only a matter of seconds,” said, Cr. W.
