Output Increases 30 Per Cent.
Final Bonus of 1 3-16 d.
The 11th annual report of the Hinuera Co-operative Dairy Company, to be presented at the annual meeting of shareholders on July 27, shows another period of expansion. The output of butter was 1033 tons, an increase of 237 tons, or 29.85 per cent.
The final returns for the season give an average return for butterfat of 9.74 d per pound, irrespective of grade. The directors recommend the following payments on the total butterfat for the season, to be distributed on July 27: A shareholders’ bonus of id per pound; a share dividend of 5 per cent, on capital paid up at May 31, 1932; and a final cash bonus of 1 3-16 d per pound.
Operating costs have been kept down to a minimum, and the company’s total costs from factory stage to f.o.b. work out at the low figure of 1.42 d per pound of butterfat. The grading figures have been maintained at a high standard, and reports from the United Kingdom on the quality of the butter are highly satisfactory. Suppliers of the company total 127. The average test of cream was 39.32. The butter made from every 100 pounds of butterfat was 121.62 pounds.
