HOSPITAL MISHAP. • ) ' ' ' i Oxygen is regarded as a life-saving agent, but it killed Eileen Neale Blaydon Richards, a school mistress, of Woodehurch, Ashford, Kent. The woman was a patient of the National Hospital for Paralysis, Holborn. While oxygen, was being injected on an inflamed tissue it made its way through a loose tissue to the abdomen. . A swelling, which proved fatal, was caused. At the inquest at Holborn, Dr T. Rose, pathologist, said inquires had failed to reveal a case of the .same kind. Verdict: Death from natural causes.
