MATAMATA CLUB. Singles Championship. ' / \ > The final games in the above championship were played last week and resulted in a win for E. C. Banks, last year’s runner-up, who beat the well-known skip, P. Stewart, in the final after a close and interesting game. Details of the games are : E. C. Banks 18, F. Livingstone 13 ; E. C. "Banks 23, J. Green 5 ; final, E. C. Banks 19, P. Stfewart 18. Mr. success was greeted with , a hearty round of applause from club members present and also from his opponent, who extended his warm congratulations. MATAMATA v. TAURANGA, .The above met at Matamata on Saturday afternoon and .the gapip ended in ; a win for the hopae team by 102 points to 94. Matamata won three of the five games played. The singles competition for the Okoroire club’s Drysdale Rose Bowl was completed on Wednesday. The ultimate winner was T. McLeay, who defeated F. Anderson, 20 —14. The aggregates were: T. McLeay, 6 wins, 1 loss; F. W. Anderson, 5 wins, 1 loss; L. Watkins, 3 wins, 2 losses; E. J. Brown, 2 wins, 2 losses; J. McLaren, 1 win, 3 losses; R.
