SURPRISE PARTY.

t MISS A. OLLIVER. On April 1 a number of friends, paid a surprise visit to Miss Alice Olliveir and Mr. Thomas Stanley, at Mrs. M. Stanley’s house, in honour • of their coming marriage: An enjoyable evening was spent in bridge by the older folk and games and dancing on the lawn for the younger. The' bride and bridegroom to be were the recipients of a large number of usefuli household gifts. The Rev. A. C. Hampton, on'behalf of those present, wished Miss Olliver and Mr. Stanley the best of health, happiness and prosperity in the future. Mr. Stanley, on his own and his fiancee’s behalf, \ replied.
