TIRAU BRANCH MEETING. The usual monthly meeting of the above was held on Thursday, when Mrs. W. H. Allen presided over a large attendance. Correspondence was read from headquarters asking for two delegates to be sent to the July conference. It was decided to defer the matter to next meeting. The question of dental inspection in the local school was brought forward, and the secretary was instructed to write to the Education Board asking that a dental officer visit Tirau. It was unanimously agreed to donate £3 to headquarters community chest. A donation of £5 was received from the Patetere Football Club for the rest room fund. The donation was accepted with applause, and the secretary was instructed to write thanking the club' for their donation. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows: President, Mrs. D. Morrow; vice-pre-sidents, Mesdames Hancock, Kuhtz and Bear; secretary, Mrs. L. Bishop; treasurer, Mrs. McGowan. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to out-going. officers.
