No ■ girl ,with a good complexion can be trugl?! Now, food has a great effect upon •.the shin, though few.women realise it. Take butter, for example. It is an food,, good for most people. OBut.tf you fry butter, its constituents .•are .changed into fatty acids and so rare ddifficult of digestion; therefore tfried butter is not conducive to a good *eomple&ion. .and Spice i.Consider a few of .the things of w»hich you are rather .fond in relation to;a clear complexion, Ifijjgar is a good food, provided it is puateiiand-not taken in Hargequantities, j .Tao rmuch . sugar causes'disturbance of the diver and consequently a sallow or bl/otchy complexion. T&e ; same • applies to condiments. Spiees, mustard, pepper ;an‘d -salt, if take® iin small quantities, are useful as i a means .of stimulating fhe jgastric juices. 'But if taken too freely • they ; upset i&e;liver, which cannot .defilvWith top many-condiments. ' Cheese is a good food, but shell fish sometimes causes «. fffl-sh; and so, curiously enough, does oatmeal, .if it is not very thosasighly cooked.
