Tc Poi subscribers have asked the question: "In view of the recent de- ■ cline in tKe prices of cheese, how much would the Te Poi Dairy Co. have lost had it consigned instead of selling outright its output?" Taking the output at 250 tons, and the fall at £lO per ton, there would be a loss of £2500. ,To thia must be added the halfpenny . per lb. increase in shipping freights, WhicH would amount to £lO7l, making '■ a total of ,£3571.
