ARROWTOWN PERSONALS

Air and Airs J. Scurr of Wanaka were the guests of Mr and Airs J. Henderson over the week-end.

Sergeant G. IX Paterson, accompanied by his sister, Mrs IX B. Eow’o, left on Tuscday morning for Napier where they are spending a holiday. Flying Officer J. Beid, accompanied by las mother, left fur Southland on Wednesday morning. From there they go up to Wellington, Christchurch and New' Plymouth to visit relatives and friends.

Air and Airs Jas. Hanning and their son, Bussell, Clyde, were visitors to Queenstown and Arrowtown over the week-end.

Air A. Scheib, Queenstown, and his son Bert, Biverton, were visitors to Arrow on- Sunday last. J’tc and Mrs Sinnamon and " two daughters, and Air Albert Sinnamon, Poolburn, were the guests of Air and Airs F. Galagher over the week-end. Aliss Eva Oakes returned from Cromwell on Sunday last for a couple of davs.

Cpl. W. Alartin, accompanied by his mother, left Arrow' on Wednesday for a holiday to Southland and Wellington. Wedding. A wedding of considerable interest in the district took place at Wanganui on the 18th October, the contractingparties being Aliss Juno Alacpherson, younger daughter of Air and Airs J. Alacpherson, formerly of Arrowtown, and W.O. J. Beid, elder son of Airs and the late W. S. Beid, “Willowbrook,” Arrow. The marriage took place in St. Paul’s church and the Rev. A. AlcLcau was the minister. The bridesmaid was Aliss Heather Aloffat, Wellington and Air Arthur Shaw performed the duties of-best man. The reception took place at “Dustin’s.” The guests were received by Mrs Alacpherson, mother of the bride. The bride was dressed iu heavy cream satin cut on simple Empire linos with applique work on both shoulders and also on the long train and long sleeves tapering to a point over the hands. She carried a sheaf of arum lilies and maidenhair fern, in her veil of uncut tulle she wore a topknot of orchids. Air and Airs Beid have takenup residence at “Glcnpanel. ”
