COUNTRY FOOTBALL DANCE

The Lower Shotover Hall was filed to capacity last Friday night for the ball promoted annually by the Country Football Club, Patrons came from Queenstown and Arrowtown in large numbers as well as from the country districts. Most satisfying music was supplied by a Cromwell orchestra and extras, were played _by Misses if. Bagrie and A. MoS'oriley (piano), A. Bagrie .(violin) and R. Mathe,son (bagpipes). The M.C. was Mr W. McLean. During the evening Mr A. Buchanan, president of the Country Football Club, thanked the people for their patronage and also congratulated the Arrow Club on winning the Wakatipu and Teachers cups A monte carlo dance was won by Mr and Mrs Shanks, and a lucky spot dance by Miss D. Sew Hoy and R, Pitta way. An excellent supper was provided by the ladies of the district.
