FOOTBALL CLUB DANCE

FUNDS FOR FIGHTER PLANE The Queenstown Football Club held a most successful dance in the Garrison Hall on Friday eveniny last in aid of Southland’s Fighter Plane fund. There was a large attendance and the effort was well organised. Dancing was kept up with a merry swing till early hours next day. Very good music was supplied by local musicians and the supper was partly provided by lady supporters of the club and handed round by the boys. During the eveniny a large number of donations were auctioned and several raffles were disposed of. The whole effort netted the surprisingly good sum of £25. The members of the club are desirous of thanking all those who sent in donations and the auctioneer, Mr, O. M. Inglis.
