BRIDAL GIFT EVENING.

As a means of raising funds for the local Salvation Army Corps, a Bridal •Gift evening was hold in the Hall on Friday evening. There was a good attendance, and the funds should benefit considerably. A novel and very delightful note was introduced by two tiny tots dressed as bride and groom! who distributed the various gilts to J ticket holders. The stage was suitably decorated, , with a large “wedding cake” as the - Centre piece. During the evening a j mo ; t entertaining programme of items , was given, the following contributing •to same:—Miss Esther Percy (musical monologue); Miss Rene Hales (violin solo): Valmai Atley (vocal solo); Gen- 1 nor Robinson, (recitation); item by Presbyterian Junior Choir; Lawson Atley (mouth organ solo). Tay Muir (recitation); Messrs A. Deer and 11. Gough (instrumental duet); Valmai Atley (recitation); item by Presbyterian Junior Choir. Lieutenant Sampson and Cadet Sampson were in charge of the proceedings.
