Mr and Mrs W. Clingin of Glenorchy went to Dunedin last week. Mr Barclay, who has been holidaying in Queenstown, has returned to Invercargill. Miss Mary McNamee, of Garston, is the guest of Mr and Mrs Menlove, Queenstown. Mr and Mrs Thistloton arrived here from Invercargill on Tuesday. Miss J. Dickie was a passenger for Dunedin by yesterday morning's bus. Mrs Irvine, of Skippers, loft for Dunedin on Thursday morning. Mr and Mrs Reg. Bell, of Mataura, recently spent a week-end in Queenstown as the guests of Mr and Mrs T. J. Wilson.

K. and Mrs Boyd and family returned to Queenstown during the week from Oamaru. Mr and Mrs J. Caley of Balclutha are spending a short, holiday in Queenstown. Mr and Mrs J. A. Haggitt of Dunedin are on a holiday visit to Queenstown. Mrs R. Gilkison, senr., of Dunedin paid a flying visit to Queenstown last week. Mrs Orr and family, of Invercargill, are in residence in Barnett's cottage on the Western Terrace. Mr and Mrs J. R. Smith, of Invercargill, are spending a holiday in Queenstown. Mr and Mrs R. McNatty, of Woodlands were among recent arrivals in - Queenstown. Miss Lai McKay left for Dunedin on Saturday where she will resume her studies at the University. Mrs C. Sloper was the guest of Mrs Curtis at Mcßiide’s Hotel last week. Mr and Mrs John Anderson and Miss Anderson left on Saturday for their home in Dunedin after an enjoyable holiday spent in Queenstown. Mr and Mrs J. B. Hislop spent the week-end in Queenstown. They had as their guests Mr and Mss D. Bind, of Sydney. The Rev. G. L. Taylor of St. Hilda, Dunedin, is spending a week in Queenstown. Miss McLees and Miss Strang, of the local public school staff, have returned for duty after the summer vacation. Mrs R. Wilson and family of Invercargill have been spending a holiday in Queenstown as the guests of Mrs H. Robins. Mr A. S. Morgan motored through to .Queenstown from Invercargill on Sunday, returning home the same night. Mr N. J. Brokenshire, of the literary staff of the ‘Evening Star,’ Dunedin, and Mrs Brokenshire are holidaying in Queenstown. Mr and Mrs W. Kerr of Invercargill are holidaying in Queenstown. Miss Cicely Dagg has returned from a holiday in Invercargill, where she was the guest of her aunt, Mrs Cavanaugh. Mr Ron. Jones of the reporting staff of the 0. D. Times, and his wife, are spending a portion of their vacation in Queenstown. Mr and Mrs Hoani Halbert and family, of Invercargill, are spending a holiday in Queenstown. Masters Reg. Edwards and Kevin Lynch left on Monday for Oamaru where they will attend St. Kevin’s College. Mr and Mrs A. Ives have returned from a- holiday spent at Port Chalmers. Miss Noela Curtis went to Gore for the races last week, and also spent a few days in Invercargill. Mrs Blaikie, who has been the guest of Mrs H. Angelo, has returned to Invercargill. Mr Ives, of Port Chalmers, is the guest of his brother and sister-in-law, Mr and Mrs A. Ives. Mr and Mrs P. Walker of Invercargill are the guests of Mr and Mrs H. Walker. Dr. and Mrs W. A. Anderson went to Oamaru on S'aturday and return in the middle of this week. Dr. Thomas of Invercargill is doing locum duty during Dr. Anderson’s absence. The Misses Vicery, White-ford and Glennie of Invercargill were amongst visitors to Queenstown during the past week. Mr and Mrs Geo. Anderson of Invercargill, and a friend, are visiting Queenstown. • Mr Anderson, is an old Queenstownite and is looking up friends of his school, days. Mr J. Anderson, his brother, of Auckland, is also visiting Queenstown. 'Captain J. Kennedy and Mrs Kennedy, and their daughters, Misses Eileen and Nellie Kennedy, left yesterday morning for Dunedin, en route to Auckland, where they _ will go into residence for an indefinite period. Mr and Mrs Win, Mclnnes and Miss Mary Mclnnes are spending a holiday camping at the Roateburn. They are accompanied by Mrs Mclnnes’ two sisters, Mrs Haigh and Miss McCallum.
