PERSONAL NOTES.

Mr D. F. Murchison went to Dunedin during the week on business. Mrs°l.Boyne has gone to Lovell’s Flat on a short visit to her son, Mr A. M. Boyne. She was accompanied by her daughter. Miss Bertha Boyne. They will probably go to relatives at Gore before returning home. Mr W. H. Gates returned to the district on Wednesday evening. Mr and Mrs A. Burns and Miss M. Burns, who had been away on their annual holiday 3, came home on Friday night. Mrs W. H, Berry paid a brief visit to Invercargill during the week. , Mr 0 S Elms has been to Christchurch attending a Mt. Cook Tourist Co. conference held there. Miss J. Thomson paid a visit to Invercargill during the week, returning on Saturday. She was accompanied to Queenstownby her brother-in-law, Mr John Gilkison. The Misses Allan (2) of Dunedin, are visiting Queenstown. Mrs E, C. Smith came from Gore on Friday on a short visit. Mr and MisE. V. Gilchrist of Invercargill are in privat- residence in Queenstown for a couple of weeks.

Messrs Alex. Miller and Charles Hudson, Dunedin, visited Queenstown during the week.

Mr W. Ashton Soaife of Glemdh'Ui visited Queenstown yesterday. Mr and Mrs T. B. McKinlay and child of Geraldine are paying a visit to Queens to wax. They are i staying with Mr McKinlay is motlici.

Mr 0. A. J. Thornton, Gleaiorchy, was a passenger bo Dunedin yesterday for the Summer Show.

Mrs W. A. Anderson went to Dune din on Timrsdey.

Vickery returned to Invercargill during the week after making a short visit to Queenstown.

Carson, Queenstown, has been appointed secretary to the Lake County- Go.-op Dairy Co., in succescesision to Mr A. F. Griffin, resigned.

Jtlr J. K. Hobble of Invercargill is at present the guest of Mr and Mrs P. W. J. Cockerill.

Prior to commencing the- ordinary buslines® of the Lake County Council at Pembroke on Tuesday last, Cr. Geo. Eeid referred in sympathetic terms to- the death of the Ohairmau s mother, the late Mrs Eobt. Lee. At Cr.
