FLAG FIXTURES.

Points: Queenstown,o; Arrowtown,6.

At Arrowtown on Wednesday last the home team inflicted defeat on the Queenstown Olub, thus making the points equal (or the flag on the sixth match. The game was a fairly even one although the points—Arrow 9 and Queenstown nil—do not indicate it. The score, three tries, was obtained for Arrow by Fletcher, Rushton and G. Campbell in quick succession near the end of the first spell. There was no score in the second spell. Queens town's team w&b not the strongest owing to having to leave two or three good players behind. Mr Dunlop controlled the game. The final match for the flag will lie played to-morrow on the local ground. A great deal of interest centres around che match and what ever side wins will be well worthy of its spurs.

WAKATIPU SUB-UNTON.

A meeting of the Sub-unioa was held at Arrowtown on Saturday, 22nd inst. Present: Messrs Oraig, Robins and Rev. Welsh (in the chair). Moved by Mr Robins and seconded by Mr Craig that the Ramblers Club be affiiated. It to be understood thai this club plays both its matches against the Arrowtown Club at Arrowtown.

Moved by Mr Craig and seconded by Mr Robins—That a levy of 7s 6d each club be made on the Queenstown and Arrowtown Clubs for Sub-union expenses, the Ramblers Club being not charged as they have already paid £1 Is for ttfliliatiou.

The referees, in future, were asked to pay special attention to the matter of players wearing spikes or toe caps on their football boots; any player so offending will not be allowed to play. Vote of than ks to the chair terminated the meeting.
