Bundles of stalks are sewn lengthwise and crosswise, or used whole, and so arranged as to produce the most beautiful effects of varying coloui. In tne interior kernels are used to form tapestries, flatfs, allegorical scenes, and mottoes There are graceful minarets crowned with millet and flying banners. The roof is a solid mass of corn. Along the front of the building runs a shiny hem of oats, and the palace is lighted throughout with electricity. There is an auditorium for 1,500 persons, and round it in galleries are stands foi tbe display of agricultural produce.
