LATE BOARD OF WARDENS.
Yesterday, a meeting of the late Board of Wardens took place at the Shotover Ferry Hotel. Present—Mr R. M'Dougall (chair), Messrs M' Arthur, Mathieson, Jenkins, and Wenkheim ; the other members sending apologies for their absence. There were also a number of parties present who were interested in the subject the meeting had been called for. The passing of the following resolutions comprised the principal business transacted : visit the Upper Shotover with a view to obtain additional signatures to petition against sale of runs. (2). That Messrs Innes and Wenkheim wait upon the Superintendent as a deputation to present and support the prayer of the petition. (3). That the cost of sending the deputation to Dunedin be defrayed by public subscription. (4). That the deputation be in readiness to leave for Dunedin directly after the petition has been duly presented throughout such parts of the district as will thoroughly test the feelings of the people interested in the sale or non-sale of the runrt,
