THE NEW BONUS.

CHAMBER OF COMMERCE VIE^S. DEPUTATION TO MINISTER. [Pee Presb Association.] A deputation from the Chambers of Commerce, which waited on the Minister to-day, referring to the matter of the cost of living'bonus, considered it folly to pay the bonus, especially to young men of 20 to 26, who had “ money to bum.” Provision should be made to give relief to the family man or single man with dependents. Answering the lion E. P. Lee, Mr Gow said he thought most employers would employ married men instead of single men, m spite of tho greater expense. He 'thought the bonus should come fyom employers and not from the State.
