The death ocourred at Wellington yesterday of Mr James Robin, father of Major-General Sir Alfred Robin, aged ninety-one years. Mr C). Mr Inkster, who is one of the most prominent members of tho Lyttelton Sports Club was on . Wednesday evening entertained by a large number of his friends who expressed regret at hia departure. Mr Inkster is also a member of Te Whaka Tennis Club and Lyttelton Swimming Glut# Last season bo topped the winning list of the Swimming Club and it was hoped that during the coming season ho would win many honours for the Lyttelton Club in the inter-club events.
