MUSICAL FESTIVAL.

1 [Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, November 25. It is intended to hold a big musical festival in each of the four centres, commencing in September, 1922. That year marks the jubilee of Lie Dunedin Choral Society, and the idea of celebrating the event came from the southern city. Whilst arrangements are yet in a more or less nebulous stage, certain decisions have been arrived at in negotiation between the Choral Society of Auckland, the Royal Musical Society of Christchurch, the Choral Society of Dunedin and the Choral Union of Wellington. These are:—(l) That a choral festival he held in each of Iho four centres, commencing at Dunedin in September, 1922. (2) That six concerts be given in Dunedin, Christchurch and Auckland, and eight in Wellington. (3) That a vocal quartet from England be engaged for the performances. A conference of delegates of the four societies is to be held in Wellington before the end of tho year, when further details will be settled;-
