ENTERTAINED AT HAWERA.. [Per Press Association.] HAWERA, November 25. His Excellency the Governor-General, Lord Jellicoe, and Lady Jellidoe were given a splendid reception on their visit to Hawera. The Opera House was packed, last evening when a civic address was presented. This~was followed by a short musical programme, after which their Excellencies were entertained at supper and a conversazione by the Mayor and councillors. This morning Lord Jellicpe met the,school children in King Howard Park, and immediately established himself a warm favourite- Their Excellencies left for Eltliam at 10.80. The Governor-General and Lady Jellicoe paid an official visit to Stratford to-dav, and were entertained at lunch by the Mayor and afterwards presented with a loyal address at tho A. and P. Show Grounds. Being People’s Day, a tremendous gathering was present. Lord Jellicoe addressed tlie crowd from the grandstand, ex-4 pressing deep pleasure at tlie opportunity of being present, and seeing such evidence of the wealth' and prosperity of the district which the gathering afforded. His Excellency was much pleased with the great exhibition of Jersey cattle- - WANGANUI. November 20. Lord and Lady Jellicoe arrived tonight and were officially welcomed. Afterwards they held a reception.
