Thomas, M.P., has been elected president of the International Federation of Trades Unions Congress. He said that the world required one thing—poace. He urged the congress to attempt to secure a more equitable distribution of raw materials and the stabilisation of the exchange.
(Received November 24, 7.15 p.m.) LONDON. November 23. Sixteen countries aro represented at the International Trades Unions Congress. Herr Grassman, on behalf of tho German delegation, aaid that German trade unions were against all dictatorships. Their belief was in tho people, who should be supreme. Tho German people woro determined to fight Bolshevism. A resolution was carried denouncing attacks upon the International Federation of Trade Unions by the Moscow Trade Unions Internationale.
