Tho Madras-Bangalore mail train was wrecked last night near Axkonam. Several passengers were killed. The disaster was due to the mysterious removal of a rail. On the previous day an attempt was made to wreck the Madras-Bangalore mail, but only a light engine precoding the train was smashed. It is believed that political significance attaches to the outrages.
