FIRE ON MANAROA.

[Per Press Association.] TIMARU, June 18. The fire on the littlo steamer Manaroa was apparently got out about 4 a.m., and a start was made this afternoon to get out cargo by means of a railway crane. Three members of the firo brigade were overcome by smoke and fumes. One was ordered to tho hospital and tho other two were taken home. Captain Johnson is also the owner of tho vessel. Ho came from Fiji to purchase a boat for the inter-Jsland trade, and bought tho Manaroa. He just had her refitted for this purpose. Work was only completed on Monday.
