A CATTLE DEAL.
The case in which Frederick Mullins Amor, farmer, of Christchurch, claimed from William Shipley, farmer of t Christchurch!, a sum of £1302 8s in. respect of a cattle deal was continued before his Honor Mr Justice Herdman at tlie Supreme Court yesterday. Mr C. S. JEhpmas appeared for the plaintiff, and* ,JirM.J. Gresson for the defendant. The statement of claim set out that (■on May 2d, 1919, defendant entered Unto an agreement to sell fifty-nmo mead of pattle under a forward delivery Wntraet at £l3 per head. Delivery was ;,®o he takeh in October, 1919. Plaintiff 'contended that between the date of laalo and the date of delivery defendant 'did not treat the cattle with proper! ;jare. The result was that they deteriorated. Plaintiff therefore claimed the .jsum mentioned in respect of this deterijf oration. 1' The defence was a general denial that j the? cattle had gone back at all. * Judgment was given for plaintiff for U 8137 with costs as per scale.
