Hargreaves 12st 121 b. . At the Conclusion of the bouts Mr Blanch, the principal, said that College authorities had been unable to secure tho regular services of an instructor since the war, and this was responsible for the entry not being so numerous as previously, and for the fact that the display of boxing was somewhat below the standard shown when tho boys had had the benefit of efficient and regular coaching. It was hoped, however, that the services of their former successful instructor, R. Mayze, would bo shortly available, and ho had no doubt that next year’s competitors would give a display equal to any that had been shown in pre-war competitions. The i college was very grateful to Colonel Chaney for the keen interest he took in the competitions and for the very great assistance rendered by him in filling the position of refe presenting tho cups to tho winners of the bouts Colonel Chaffey said it was a pleasure to him to be present. Hie duties as reforeo were made light by the fine sporting spirit of the competitors and the manner in which they observed the rules. The boxing on the whole had been good, and tne bouts contested in a willing spirit, and he congratulated the competitors on their gamenees.
