' 9 _ The Marshland Cycling Club held its open, ing run of the season on Tuesday evening l last, when a members' road race took place, the course bein<» from the school cornor along the Marshland Road to Craddock's corner and back, a distance of four miloa fifty-six chains. There were eight competitors, and a keen contest resulted, the winners being:—W. Fuller (20sec), riding time 13min, first prize, 30s; A. T. Fuller (50sec), riding time ISmin 31sec, second prize, 15s; R. H. Ritchie (35sec), riding time 13min 17seo, third prize, 103;. P. Hill, fastest time unplaced, riding time 12min 45sec, 10s. After the race a social gathering was held in the hall the music for the dancing being supplied by Mr W. Betted, and Mr Reg. Myers officiating as M.O.
