At a special meeting, held to-nteht, •of the Westport section of tho Post: and Telegraph Officers' Association, it was Resolved: "That this section expresses great dissatisfaction with the classification of the service and tho anomalies contained therein.''' , DUNEDIX, Juno 21. At a largely-attended meeting of the Dimedin section of the "Post and Telegraph Association to-night, motions were carried- unanimously condemning the classification list, especially •as it' .applied to.the rank and file of the..service, as absolutely inadequate, and demanding a ■ minimum increase of £ls to each of the officers, also asking that tho list should ho revised immediately and that, tho revision should be retrospective to April 1; further, that the Government should grant a substantial . bonus owing to the increased cost of living, the bonus to be continued while abnormal prices last or until provision is made by, way of salary, the bonus to be apportioned according to dependents. It also was decided to urge the executh'e committee to call the executive council, together at the earliest possible moment, and to" demand immediate payment of double war bonus promised by the Postmaster-General.
