A conference of the Master Cotton Spinners’ Federation and the Oardroom Workers, Operatives and Spinners’ Amalgamations, at Manchester, decided that all mills spinning American cotton should close from April 10 to April 28 owing to tho bad state of trade. It is estimated that 100,000 operatives be affected.
